OpenSSL 4.0 final is out. It is not an LTS release and it ships with significant breaking changes. Before you begin an OpenSSL 4.0 upgrade, review what has been removed: engine support, SSLv3, fixed version method functions, and several deprecated APIs. Code that compiled against 3.x may not compile against 4.0 without changes.
